Homes are Craftsman and unique in style. For a long time, it has had a strong Greek community, adding to its charm and diversity. The nearby St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral is the source of the cultural history of the area.
Home styles are predominantly bungalow-style homes. There is a diversity of residents - renters and homeowners - couples, to young families, to retirees. There is a strong Neighborhood Association. Residents enjoy the sidewalks for leisurely strolls along tree-lined, mature streets.
Many homes have undergone renovation to return them to their historic roots, for example beautiful 'shingle bungalows' from 1905-1915 that is not common in Greenville. Homes are smaller than in neighboring areas, such as East Park Avenue, with house prices averaging low-mid $200's.
